Savings Goal Calculator

Pick a savings goal, a time horizon, and an assumed annual return. The calculator shows how much to set aside each month, how much of the goal comes from your own contributions, and how much less you need each month compared with saving with no return at all. It is an educational illustration, not financial advice and not a recommendation for any account or product.

Enter values and press Calculate monthly amount.

How it works: contributions are assumed monthly at the start of a steady plan, and the annual return is converted to a monthly rate (rate divided by 12). The amount you already saved is assumed to grow at the same rate for the whole period. The result is the exact monthly amount that reaches the goal under those assumptions — a simplified illustration, not a prediction. Taxes, fees, and inflation are not included, and the return you enter is an assumption, not a guarantee. Try a lower return and a longer horizon before drawing any conclusion.
